Hi guys, so I haven't been on here in many months. Someone told me I should update so I guess SOMEONE out there is reading. LOL. So here goes. I have been very lucky in my yard sale ventures lately. I wanted to share a few things that I have picked up in hopes to inspire more people to get out and start junking. It may be a little weird at first especially if the sale is being given someone you know but trust me they are going to be elated to sell their stuff and if they are acting snooty then you don't want to be friends with that person anyway. Right? If you aren't sure how to start. Here are a few pointers.
1. Find a friend to go with you. Don't pick a friend who takes all morning getting ready. Yard sales are not for the glamorous. You don't want to get up at 6:30 and have to wait till 9:30 for your partner to show up. Throw on a hat and go.
2. Take cash, small bills. Nothing more embarrassing than talking someone down 50 cent then pulling out a 20 dollar bill to pay.
3. Start early. Have you ever heard that old saying "The early bird gets the worm". Well in yard sales the early bird gets ALL the good stuff.
4. Don't expect to find treasures on every single trip. It's NOT GOING TO HAPPEN. Don't get discouraged. Keep going and I promise you will get bit by the junk bug.
5. Check the newspaper for sales. If you don't have time to check the paper, you can always pull up the
classifieds on your local paper online. It's always better to have a road plan.
Well, I think that is pretty much the rules of the road. Warning, yard salers are a little crazy but it is an awesome  past time, my favorite in fact. Good luck finding all your beautiful treasures. Here are a few of mine.
